A small, fleeting tribute to a legend on the 100th anniversary of his birth.
This jack-o-lantern was a cutout. No shading.
John Wayne Jack-O-Lantern by ~Revelation-Six.
An amazing carving of an American icon of rugged masculinity on what would have been John Wayne's 102nd birthday today. A visit to this artist's gallery will reveal a large array of equally impressive pumpkin carvings.

That is just too amazing. I love John Wayne. My father and I would watch him a lot late at night when my father came home from work. My father still watches the old tapes. you've done a fantastic job. -Chloe
that looks eerily alike, too much thats amazing. i was watching running scared and the russian father is obsessed with him so much its creepy... he has a tatoo of him on his back and watches the clip where he got shot his whole life. it was wierd o.o
I have several photos of them unlit. I may link one but honestly, they don't look like much. Since most of my carvings don't use shading (partial shaving of the pulp), they just look like gourds with a bunch of random holes punched out.
Thanks for the comment. I visited your gallery. You do some nice work with jewelry.
