I check my DeviantArt site about once a week, so please accept my apologies for not responding to everyone's messages earlier.  I'd like to respond to each, but I now have 540 new messages.  Yikes.  So, I'm posting this journal message to say thank you to everyone who has sent messages or favorited my work.  I will, over the next few weeks, try to check out all of your sites as well.  I often spend a lot of time browsing different galleries, but not so much writing messages.  In any case, thanks again for all the attention and to whoever nominated me for the DD.  :)

Well, Halloween is almost upon us and I've completed the majority of my pumpkin carving this year.  I did pick up 10 carvable foam pumpkins for practice during the off season and I've just purchased a dremel.  Unfortunately, this season I've had to balance my pumpkin carving with working 15 hour days, so I wasn't able to get as many carvings done as I would have hoped, but I think the ones I did complete were a level above previous years. So, the purpose of this journal entry wasn't to droll on about my own carving year.  I have found some very beautiful pumpkin artists that I really wanted to share with you.
